Instructor Bio

Dr. Nadir Ali Zafar is an education change agent.

He has been educated at some of the best schools in the world, and uses that experience to reimagine education and find better and more innovative ways to bring a real education to all.

Dr. Zafar wears several hats in the education space.

He is a social entrepreneur working on a venture aimed at bringing business practitioners together through a platform for real-world experts to share their real-life lessons in real-time online.

Dr. Zafar is also the CXO at the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI), a subsidiary of Temasek Management Services backed by the Singapore Economic Development Board and Ministry of Manpower.

He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at a global education technology company in UAE and Board Member of a London-listed education company.

Dr. Zafar has a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation from the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, & Human Development, an MBA from goobal business school INSEAD, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management from the pioneer cohort at the Singapore Management University.

He believes the education sector needs to be reimagined for a new world - one where the power of technology has unleashed a host of possibilities never seen before. Everything from WHY we educate, WHAT we educate, WHERE we educate, WHEN we educate, WHO we educate, and HOW we educate needs a proper rethink. Old habits are hard to change and global education systems are lagging in their ability to prepare people to succeed. In light of this, new alternatives are needed to spark change.
